About the class

Are you ready to take control of your diabetes journey? This engaging program, specifically designed for Spanish speakers with type 2 diabetes, offers a supportive environment where you can connect with others facing similar challenges.

In small groups of 12-16, you’ll be guided by two trained leaders, including peer leaders who understand your experience firsthand. Together, you'll create actionable weekly plans, share your stories, and collaboratively tackle self-management challenges. You'll learn skills and tools to manage your symptoms and keep your blood sugar under control.

Every class is built on a highly detailed manual reviewed by physicians, diabetes educators, dietitians, and other health professionals both at Stanford and in the community.

Workshops meet weekly for six weeks for 2.5 hours with a built-in break.

Join us in person at convenient community or clinical locations or participate virtually with technical support available.
